The famous „black catalog", which has been spoken about since the spring, is related to Martin Mazanec's yearlong curatorial activities in the Youth Gallery, Brno. However, Fragile Cinema is not only an exhibition catalogue from the curatorial cycle of the same name; generous documentation of the exhibited projects is accompanied by valuable thematic studies and interviews. The publication also includes the original posters related to individual exhibitions (Anymade Studio). The publication is divided into three parts:
I. RECONSTRUCTION OF FRAGILE CINEMA
describes and documents the following exhibitions: Fragile Cinema by Vojtěch Fröhlich, Still Waters Run Deep by Lucia Sceranková, Mechanical Document by Dominik Gajarský, Jiří Kotrla's Ordinary Language, Them by Vilém Novák and group exhibition Fragile Cinemawhich opened the whole cycle in January 2012.
II. BETWEEN VISIBLE AND WONKY CINEMA
collects Volker Pantenburg's theoretical texts "Post cinema?", "Movies, Museums, Mutations" and Martin Mazanec's "The Cinema Mise-en-Scene".
III. INTERVIEWS ABOUT GALLERIES AND CINEMAS
consists of interviews with Martin Arnold, ("Vinnetou = Arnulf Rainer") and Douglas Gordon ("How to kidnap the right person").
