A multi-media installation introduce the latest work of Jiří Thýn, in which the artist returns to photograms and shows the potential of their visual impact within the spatial concept. In Thýn’s approach photography extricates itself from the traditional photographic canon and becomes contemporary visual art. An interest in traditional analogue black-and-white photography, the history of the discipline and working with experimental photographic techniques intermingles in Thýn’s output with non-photographic processes and conceptual thinking. The resulting image is a contextual fusion of different levels of approach to photography and contemporary art.
